Lanark County was honoured to welcome Hon. Natalia Kusendova-Bashta, Ontario’s Minister of Long-Term Care, to Lanark Lodge last week. The Minister toured the facility and met with staff and leadership to learn more about the Lodge’s commitment to excellence in long-term care.

During her visit, Minister Kusendova-Bashta expressed her appreciation to the entire Lanark Lodge team for their dedication and compassion.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase Lanark Lodge’s ongoing efforts to enhance resident well-being and staff support. Shawna Stone, Director of Long-Term Care at Lanark Lodge, noted, “We are proud of the work our team does every day, and it was a privilege to share that with the Minister. Her recognition means a great deal to our staff.”

Lanark County Warden Toby Randell added, “We thank Minister Kusendova-Bashta for taking the time to visit and for her continued support of long-term care initiatives. Her engagement with our staff and leadership reinforces the importance of collaboration between municipalities and the province.”
