DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Bring the kids and join the Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust at High Lonesome Nature Reserve for a day of outdoor exploration\, discovery\, and fun. \nOur theme this year is “One Small Step” – because in nature\, as in life\, every journey begins with one small step\, from acorn to oak\, tadpole to frog\, caterpillar to butterfly. \nExplore the trails\, meet local naturalists\, discover wildlife\, create nature-inspired crafts\, and make memories together outdoors. \nActivities include:\n– Pond Life\n– Magical Fairies\n– Pollinator Path\n– Who Pooped?\n– Map it Out!\n– Nature’s Sanctuary\n– Leaf & Bark Rubbing\n– Research Tent\n– Nature Journaling\n– Indigenous Connections to Nature \nFestival admission is FREE for children or youth under 16\, and just $10 for adults. We encourage pre-registration to help us plan but if you prefer\, you’re also welcome to sign up on-site on the day of the event.
