Warden’s Golf Tournament

We are pleased to share that planning is underway for the annual Warden’s Golf Tournament in support of the Lanark County Youth Recreation Program. The tournament is scheduled to take place on August 14, 2026 at Timber Run Golf Club.

This year’s tournament is proudly supporting the Active Kids, Bright Futures Program. The Active Kids, Bright Futures Program is a new program that supports low-income children and youth in Lanark County to become more engaged in their communities through participation in sports, arts, and club-based activities.

Tournament Information
Date: Friday, August 14, 2026

Location: Timber Run Golf Club, 154 Caldwell Street, Lanark

Fee: $150 (includes green fees, cart, lunch and dinner)

Format: Shotgun Start

Tournament Itinerary

  • 11:30 a.m. Registration and Lunch BBQ
  • 12:30 p.m. Shotgun Start
  • 5:00 p.m. Social Hour and Silent Auction Opens
  • 6:00 p.m. Dinner
  • 7:00 p.m. Silent Auction Closes

Teams will be made up of four golfers. Please note, you will be placed in a foursome if you register individually. There will be prizes, a silent auction and hole challenges.

Registration
There are a number of options for the 2026 Warden’s Golf Tournament:

  • 18 Holes | Cart | Lunch | Supper ($150 per golfer)
  • 18 Holes | Cart | Lunch ($100 per golfer)
  • Dinner Only ($45 per person)

Teams will be made up of four golfers. Please note, you will be placed in a foursome if you register individually. There will be prizes, a silent auction and hole challenges.

The deadline to register is Wednesday, August 4th, 2026.

Sponsorship and Donations
Participation in recreational and structured activities can have a significant positive impact on low-income children. These programs:

  • foster positive relationships with peers, coaches, and mentors, providing supportive adult role models;
  • provide routine and stability, which is especially beneficial for children experiencing family or financial stress;
  • are associated with improved school attendance, focus, discipline, and overall academic achievement;
  • help reduce inequities by removing financial barriers, expanding opportunities and aspirations;
  • support the development of life skills and resilience, including teamwork, perseverance, and goal setting; and
  • strengthen connections to the community, reduce isolation and foster a sense of belonging.

You can support this worthwhile cause by sponsoring a hole ($150), lunch ($1,300) or supper ($2,000) or by providing an item that could be used as a prize or silent auction item.

  • Company sign at one tee off area on the course (for hole sponsors only)
  • Recognition on the County’s Facebook page and website
  • Acknowledgement in Tournament handout
