Update: Significant Weather Event Ended

Sun Dec 28, 2025

UPDATE: The significant weather event declared by Lanark County has ended effective 3:00 pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

Please be advised that due to the forecast freezing rain event and as per Regulation 239/02 of the Municipal Act 2001, Lanark County is declaring a significant weather event beginning at 7pm on Sunday December 28th, 2025. This significant weather event will extend through Monday December 29th, 2025.

This declaration suspends the standard timelines required for Lanark County to meet their winter maintenance objectives until the municipality declares the significant weather event has ended. It may take longer than usual to bring the condition of the roads back to a state of repair due to downed trees and powerlines.

The County will remove this post when the municipality has declared the event has ended.

Please stay off the roads if at all possible and be cautious when near snow removal equipment.
