Visitors and Guests

Colds and flu can be dangerous for the residents. Please ask your guests to reschedule their visit if they are sick.

Visiting Hours

We feel that it is important for the residents to visit with friends and family as much as possible. We ask that your visitors come between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., as that is when our doors automatically lock to keep you safe.

Guest Dining

Each Neighbourhood has a lounge that offers a quiet space for visits which can be used at any time. Complimentary tea and coffee are offered for all to enjoy. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own food if visiting during a meal and should notify the Registered Staff if the Resident is planning to eat outside of the regular dining area. For large groups, specific rooms can be reserved free of charge.

Contact Reception Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 613-267-4225 ext. 7103.

Visiting Outside the Home

Residents can go visit family & friends outside the home as well. Just let the Nursing staff know and sign out in the books located in each neighbourhood. If you’re coming in after hours, ring the bell so staff can let you in (the entrance is locked then).

Staying away overnight? Let the Nurse know ahead of time so your medication is ready for you to take.

Care Conferences

Care conferences are completed annually as per Ministry regulations. This gives the resident and family members a chance to discuss care plans with doctors, nurses, dietary, activation and physiotherapy. The first care conference will take place 6 weeks after admission, then yearly after that. A questionnaire is sent ahead of the meeting. Care conferences are done in person or virtually.

Lodge Council

Have your voice heard!

Lanark Lodge’s Council of Family and Friends and Resident’s Council is your opportunity to be actively involved in terms of services, and programs provided within the home. Residents are encouraged to attend the monthly resident council meetings. All recommendations made from council are reviewed by the director of the home. If you would like to receive updates or participate in meetings, please contact Lanark Lodge to let council know.
