For immediate release March 22, 2024 Lanark County outlines construction projects for 2024 Construction season is nearly here! Lanark County Public Works plans to complete pavement preservation on 17 kilometres of roads this year, with rehabilitation scheduled for 27.9 km and paved shoulders slated for 20.3 km.

The county oversees the construction, operation, repair and maintenance of more than 560 km of roads and 82 bridge and culvert structures.

Climate Action Plan Review and Work Plan Highlighted: Lanark County Council has approved the 2024 Climate Action work plan following a report by Elizabeth Gallant, Climate Environmental Coordinator, presented at the public works committee meeting last month.

What does homelessness look like in Lanark County?

In Ontario, and Lanark County, homelessness is defined as “a situation in which an individual or family is without permanent, appropriate housing or the immediate prospect, means and ability of acquiring it.”
